Drought relief support for farmers

FNB Namibia, in support of the Bank of Namibia's Policy Changes on Economic and Financial Stability due to persistent drought in Namibia, is pleased to offer loan moratoriums, loan restructuring, and emergency funding with preferential terms to qualifying farmers and agricultural clients affected by Namibia's drought. Applicants must provide proof of impact, such as crop yield reports or financial statements to receive consideration of support.

Qualifying criteria

To qualify for drought relief measures, a client must:

  • Demonstrate that their agricultural activities have been significantly impacted by drought conditions.
  • Provide evidence of such impact, which may include but is not limited to, meteorological data from credible institutions, crop yield reports, and financial statements.
  • Submit a formal application to their banking institution detailing the extent of the impact and the relief sought.
